Access Barrister Group is a private legal introduction service. We review enquiries and introduce individuals to independent legal professionals who may be able to assist them. We are not a law firm, we are not a barristers’ chambers, and we do not provide legal advice or representation.

Your relationship with the legal professional

Any agreement to provide legal services is made directly between you and the legal professional you choose to instruct, on their own terms of engagement. That professional is solely responsible for the advice and representation they provide, and for their fees. Any fee quote is provided by or on behalf of the legal professional and will be confirmed before you commit.

No obligation

Submitting an enquiry is free and does not oblige you to instruct anyone. Equally, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to introduce a suitable professional for every enquiry, or that any professional will accept your instructions.

Legal aid

Our service is for privately funded matters only. We do not provide free representation or arrange legal aid.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to use the website lawfully, and not to submit false, abusive or malicious enquiries or attempt to interfere with the website’s operation or security.

Limitation of liability

We make the website and our introduction service available in good faith, but we do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the advice or services of any independent legal professional, or from reliance on general information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Intellectual property

The content, design and branding of this website belong to Access Barrister Group and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page applies. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you may have to bring proceedings in your own part of the UK.

Complaints Procedure

We aim to provide a professional and courteous service at all times. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please let us know so we can put things right.

How to complain

Please email [email protected] with “Complaint” in the subject line, or call 07424 912102. Please include your name, contact details, and a summary of your concern, including any relevant dates.

What happens next

• We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days.
• We will investigate your complaint fairly and may contact you for further information.
• We aim to send you a full written response within 28 days. If we need longer, we will explain why and tell you when to expect a response.
• If you are not satisfied with our response, you may ask for your complaint to be reviewed again by a different member of our team.

Complaints about a legal professional

If your complaint concerns the advice, service or fees of the legal professional you instructed, you should first raise it directly with that professional or their chambers or firm, using their own complaints procedure. If your complaint is not resolved, you may be able to refer it to the Legal Ombudsman, usually within six months of the professional’s final response. Concerns about professional misconduct by a barrister in England and Wales can be reported to the Bar Standards Board.
